Overview of Japan Stigmatized Property
Japan Stigmatized Property does not belong to that category of horror games where we keep running from monsters or being us with jump scares. It is slow, quiet, and creepy in such a way that you will find it sticking to your brain even after you stop playing. This is because it is based on the Japanese-style psychological horror, which means that the game would give more attention to bizarre feelings and unsettling atmosphere rather than blood spills and gore.
You play as a night shift surveillance officer working at Japan Stigmatized Property, from where you monitor cameras across various actual locations in Japan and look out for weird happenings in them, from flickering lights to shadows that might have previously not been present, and even running entire ghosts through the property.
The first time I tried it, I thought it would be boring to watch cameras only, but man, the action picked up very quickly. First, it’s all empty rooms, and then all of a sudden, you notice something little like an object moving, and you jump. The more of these creepy signs you miss, the end of your shift stops right there.
Shift runs from midnight to 5 a.m. Sounds easy, right? Alone in the dark, every screen could show something horrifying; the hours crawl endlessly. Anomalies are unpredictable, so you never know what to expect. Sometimes, there are flying orbs, blood marks on the walls, or people hiding in the corners. Some of those can only be seen using night vision, so one should keep sharp the whole time.
The game gives you four buildings to monitor, and each property has its feel. Some look like regular apartments, but when the weird stuff starts happening, you will seriously regret staring too long at the screen. There are two game modes: the Standard for normal gameplay, and the Special Assignment for when you want to push your nerves to the limit. Those fond of streaming can try this game since their friends will watch them go mad slowly during these late-night shifts.
For me, playing this game is more of an exercise in patience and focus rather than just gaming. Just keeping calm even when your pit feels like it really should be panicking. For me, the tension was quite similar to the lonely-feeling nights spent at home, when every little noise feels like someone is there. Except that the game is right with you on this one.
So if you believe that you could spend hours in silence, waiting for your eyes to catch the smallest differences, all while keeping your cool until dawn, then you should give Japan Stigmatized Property a shot. You may also be interested in: Damned 2 Free Download for Windows PC
