The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood Free Download for Windows PC (v1.1.0)

Well, I personally didn’t expect to get hooked on The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood so fast when I tried it. It doesn’t feel like the kind of adventure game I usually play, considering that it feels more intimate, like reading a book where you are inside the story. This is made by Deconstructeam, the same team that developed The Red Strings Club, so I pretty much knew it was going to turn out differently.

You play as Fortuna, a witch, who has been stuck in exile on an asteroid for more than 200 years. She has now decided to enter into a dangerous pact with a forbidden creature to find liberation. The story revolves around reuniting with old witch friends, meeting new ones, and using customized cards to reveal an old and future past. It was quite fun for me that every choice just felt so important; this has nothing to do with magic, but most especially with identity, community, and how these choices later on shape everybody that surrounds you.

The entire story of the game does span years, really. Every single decision you make as Fortuna has ramifications for how other people perceive you and the future of witch society as a whole. It would take me a moment to consider before I made a choice, knowing it could change the whole situation later on.

The best part would be the deck-building system. You don’t just collect cards; you create your own cards from a lot of different combinations and use them to guide and give influence to characters. Sort of like Tarot cards, but more creative.

I have to mention the music, which has more than 3 hours of original tracks and creates a perfect atmosphere. Sometimes I just let the game run in the background for the music alone. The visuals are also unique. Everything is handmade pixel art, and the different witches you meet all have different looks and personalities.

What really stood out for me was how personal the game is. I actually found myself thinking of the decisions made long after I closed it. Levels do not have to be completed or enemies defeated; it is more about understanding the world and your role in it. If you are into story-intensive, meaning-heavy games, this one will stay with you.
