Burden of Command is certainly not your typical war game. It is quite a psychological leadership RPG where you role-play as US Army Captain in the legendary Cottonbalers regiment during WWII. The challenge? Keeping your men alive from enemy bullets but more so from the crushing stress of war itself.

After many hours of playing, I was struck hardest at how real the soldiers were. When my very first squadmate died, it hit me, was much harder than ever before in a strategy game. This is a serious writing effort that draws you to these virtual soldiers, turning every decision into an emotional dilemma.

At first, I thought this would be a stereotypical turn-based wargame with simple leadership bonuses. But Burden of Command is more than that-it’s a blend of tactical combat and narrative-driven role-playing. The game suddenly changes:
