Steel Seed is a really cool action-adventure game that comes from the developers who made Close to the Sun, and plunges you into a sci-fi world where human beings are teetering on the brink of annihilation. You take on the role of Zoe, a driven protagonist accompanied by her AI drone KOBY, who surges ahead through a hostile underground facility in a last-ditch effort to uncover some secret and save mankind.

After a cataclysmic event, the Earth lies in ruins, and machines have built their large underground complexes for their survival. Humans are just trespassers. Each zone in the facility tells part of its story through environmental details, hidden dangers, and untold mysteries. From sprawling mechanical labyrinths to unsettling biodomes, Steel Seed creates a dealing atmosphere that is oppressive but captivating.
A Bond Beyond Human and Machine
Zoe’s only companion is KOBY, a prototype drone that metamorphoses from a simple tool into an irreplaceable ally. Though its communication is reduced to beeps and noises, KOBY fills the gap in Zoe’s lifeline-help in solving puzzles, joining her in battle, and even American-style emotional support in a world that lacks Americans. Their partnership confuses organic and artificial, trust, and survival.
