Shape of Dreams is a roguelite-action game in which you enter a strange world of dreams that you will never see twice. It mixes hack-and-slash fights with co-op teamwork and gives you the freedom to build your own playstyle. Either you challenge yourself for a more skill-based run or team up with three friends in online co-op.
I played this game myself, and I must admit that it’s quite fresh compared to other roguelikes. The combat’s quick and smooth, and there’s always something new to try because runs don’t repeat in the same way. For me, playing with friends via co-op was even more enjoyable since we had to come up with combat builds all on the fly.
Game Features
A Wide Variety of Characters and Worlds
You start out with 8 Travelers and then traverse 8 different dreamlike regions. Each area has its own unique bosses and challenges to thoroughly test your skills.
Replayability
Every run is procedural; hence, it forces you to try new strategies since you can’t rely on one specific build. There are also four levels of difficulty plus Lucid Dream modifiers to keep every run thrilling.
Solo and Co-op Mode
The game is evenly balanced for solo play if you want to go alone. But with friends, it becomes pure chaos in a good way. Each one of you can come up with different strategies to aid the other in battle.
Not just another Roguelite
What makes Shape of Dreams different from other roguelites is that it combines hack-and-slash action with personalized builds and teamwork. It’s like a mix of action RPG, roguelite, and co-op brawler at once.

Why I Recommend Shape of Dreams
I play a lot of roguelite games, but Shape of Dreams just worked because every playthrough felt different. As I started every new run, I started thinking differently because of the different skills, items, and builds forced on me. Playing with friends was a great mix of chaos that was fun, but teamwork still had to ensue as we battled through the runs. If you love action RPGs or co-op games, download it and try it out.
