Bendy Lone Wolf – this is the game where you are to keep your head high without being dead in this bizarro, dangerous cartoon world. It has a lot of nasty monsters, with mad traps everywhere. Those corridors inside what feels like the most terrifying animation studio ever built are all rubberhose-style and very old. Every time you step forward, it feels like you’re heading into another fight.
You’re playing as Boris in this game, and it’s all about entering and exploring Joey Drew Studios while also getting as far beyond as possible into whatever might give you a chance to survive. You’ll search for supplies, grab weapons, and somehow slowly piece together what’s hiding in that darkness: some things in this world damn better not be known, but you just keep going on curiosity’s push.
Hallways go on forever, and danger is always close. The Dark Puddles send creepy cartoon enemies after you. With quick attacks, you can fight them or lure them into traps. During my session, one beast almost caught me; just as it lunged, I managed to slam down a trap door. Those moments are what make the game truly tense yet lots of fun.
Adding to that, the enemies would be endless, and you just can’t afford to take a breather. Lest you be careful, they might haul Boris away. Each little victory feels hard-earned, and every mistake could cost you a run.
