A Rocky Start, A Stellar Comeback
Cyberpunk 2077 hit the scene in 2020 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and let’s be real: the launch was a trainwreck, especially on consoles. The game’s tech demands were just too hefty for the hardware. But in 2022, a free next-gen update started turning things around, setting the stage for the epic experience CD Projekt RED had hyped up years earlier.
With more updates, tweaks, and the standout Phantom Liberty expansion, Cyberpunk 2077 has climbed the ranks to sit among the top sci-fi RPGs ever. Beyond the official goodies, though, the modding crew keeps Night City feeling fresh.
Enter the H10 Elevator Expanded Mod
One cool addition worth checking out is the ‘H10 Elevator Expanded’ mod by ThaFunktopus, available for free on NexusMods. Ever ridden the H10 elevator and noticed it skips a bunch of floors? I’ve always been curious about what’s happening up there, and now we’ve got answers.
This mod drops three new spots into the mix: a street-level private garage, an AV landing pad, and a chill 40th-floor zen garden, plus all the parking deck levels. It’s a neat way to flesh out Night City’s vertical vibe.
A Small Catch
There’s a heads-up, though: the mod messes with ‘The Gift’ side-quest in Act 1. You won’t get that call from T-Bug after ‘The Ride.’ No biggie—the modder’s got a fix. Just swing by the Kabuki Netrunner Shop to wrap it up.
PC Players Only, For Now
Like most mods, ‘H10 Elevator Expanded’ is a PC-only deal. Console folks on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S can still enjoy the core Cyberpunk 2077 experience as it was meant to be, but these extra floors? That’s a PC perk.
