I distinctly remember being dragged to catch Cars 2 in theatres by my little cousin, only to find ourselves equally obsessed with trying the video game afterward. Disney Pixar Cars 2: The Video Game so captures the spirit of the film but grants you an unparalleled freedom of mucking about, in a sense, in driving the cars around and being a part of the action.
The game is based on Cars 2 and invites players into the Cars universe. You can choose from your favorite characters, such as Lightning McQueen and Mater, or give new ones, like Finn McMissile and Holley Shiftwell, a spin. The story continues with an international spy training center known as CHROME, where cars are trained for secret missions, dangerous races, and battle challenges.
The most enjoyable part back in the day was playing multiplayer on my PC with my friends, where we would sit for hours competing against each other on different tracks. Some would argue that the spy missions added something really different because you have gadgets and tricks, not only speed, but also clever moves.

One thing I noticed is that the DS version has some extra locations that are not even in the movie, which makes it extra interesting for those who like to explore.
