Dragon Age: Origins is one of those RPGs that sticks with you through the years. In it, you play a Grey Warden, an ancient class of protectors. The world is under a blossoming darkspawn invasion with chaos within the kingdom itself and all kinds of wars being fought, families torn apart-and still, people are evil. Your character is handpicked because they have to unite and stand against the archdemon.
I still remember when I first started playing the game; I had spent a good part of the first few hours just getting lost in every inch of it. The choices in dialogues felt significant, like they mattered. I sometimes even paused and thought before answering because it could change how people see you. The fights are extremely hard, especially when you face those gigantic beasts or lots of enemies together.
It is more than just a battle, for you’re forging friendships-even relationships-with the characters in your party. It feels all the more real that way.
Dragon Age Origins – Awakening Expansive Pack
The Awakening expansion greatly enhanced the already colossal main game. In this one, you are posted as Commander of the Grey Wardens. New threats emerge, and the favourite darkspawn have gone bar crazy. There are new abilities to unlock, spells to be learned, new people to train your squad, and a completely new site, Amaranthine, where more secrets are hidden from the player.
What intrigued me most about Awakening was the feeling that I could continue my storyline. It came across as personal because my decisions in Origins were continued.
All Included in 9 DLC Packs
The Ultimate Edition is worth it: everything is in one package. You don’t miss any of the bonus story or content. There are all nine packs of downloadable content included:
- The Stone Prisoner
- Warden’s Keep
- Return to Ostagar
- Feastday Gifts
- The Darkspawn Chronicles
- Feastday Pranks
- Leliana’s Song
- The Golems of Amgarrak
- Witch Hunt
Each one adds a new story, character, or just more fun. For example, Witch Hunt revolves around Morrigan, much to the delight of fans, one of the most enigmatic characters in the game.

My Thoughts
Dragon Age: Origins happens to be one of the best RPGs that has ever been made. It’s very addictive due to the storyline, the characters, and the tough choices one has to make. Though it is an older game, Magic has sometimes seemed to be lost in the more modern RPGs these days. If you enjoy serious, in-depth storylines, great character development, and tactical combat, then give it a whirl. You may also be interested in: OFF Free Download for Windows PC
