Global Farmer is a farming simulation game that gives you the freedom to build your farm wherever in the world. In the simulation, you choose your spot in the real-world map and do all the work to recreate it as an agricultural hub. I, for one, when I first played, set my farm right outside my city to see how it goes, and honestly, watching it grow gradually step by step was just magnificent.

To profit from your land, you need to think not only about crop rotation, but also about selecting the most appropriate fields for particular crops and planning ahead of time.

Setting up a farm is fun, too. You can place barns, sheds, and storage houses, and even lay out paths and parking for tractors and other heavy machinery. There are real-life farming machines for you to use, including all sorts of wonderful harvesters and plows in a very realistic way.

It is not just about crops, though. You also get to manage animals, from cows to chickens and sheep. Keeping them well fed and moving them around from pasture to pasture with the changing seasons is a part of the game. As the animals provide products like milk, eggs, or wool with sale value, it’s all in your profit. The addition of animals gave me a gratifying feeling of running a fully-functioning farm as opposed to mere crop-field management.

If your region does not have enough data, you can just use the map editor to create your custom fields. The editor allows you to create your unique farmland and share it with other players and other members of the community. There are farming contracts to fulfill, wherein you will be transporting commodities for extra cash. Keeps the game playing interesting and alive!
