Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders
Three brothers, known as the Serpent Riders, used their strong magic to take over and mess up the seven kings of the land, putting it into war and a mess. But a group of elves called the Sidhe fought back and were called heretics. On the edge of losing the war, the Sidhe elders gave themselves up and the elven capital city to destroy the seven kings and their armies. As one of the few elves left, you start a quest for revenge against those who killed your friends, family, and whole group.
Heretic: Faith Renewed [NEW]
Years after the planes were cleaned of D’Sparil’s bad influence, a traveling warrior looking for home gets to a foreign land and finds the bad marks of that old-time religion coming through the cracks of society again. In the walled city, crazy followers stand high on a fancy cathedral and listen to the sad sounds coming from the streets as people who don’t believe are taken away for ‘fixing.’ The shadow of D’Sparil stays after death, his absence thought to be like a god. Once liked, now worshipped, not deserving of either. A too-familiar scene, and one you can’t take. Taking up the role of Heretic again, you walk into the city, staff in hand, to stop the sounds of your big enemy.
Hexen: Beyond Heretic
While the Sidhe elf Corvus fought the bad forces of D’Sparil, the other two Serpent Riders were making trouble in other worlds. As a Warrior, Mage, or Cleric, you gotta fight the undead and brave element dungeons and broken wilderness to defend your land of Cronos from Korax, the second Serpent Rider.
Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel
After beating the bad Korax, the second Serpent Rider, and finding the Chaos Sphere, you were moved to the Realm of the Dead. Now your only way home is blocked by lots of undead and the Dark Citadel. Where Hexen ends, the real nightmare starts.
