Since I was a kid, I’ve been following sports, so listening to Jordan Schultz discuss games always felt natural to me. He is one of the insiders who always breaks NFL news, and his updates feel fluid and right on time. Years spent working with Bleacher Report, ESPN, and Fox Sports are easily recognizable in his work. He even produced some podcasts, one of which featured Draymond Green.
When I heard he left Fox Sports by the middle of 2025, I was honestly in shock. Then he went and did something dope. He basically set up his own media office through YouTube and hosts two shows a week on there. He partnered with Fanatics Sportsbook, providing some backing and sharing the content. I seriously liked that move because it reminded me of trying to build my little YouTube channel in school. Starting something from scratch always feels scary, yet also fun.
Away from the sporting arena, Jordan keeps his family world really tight. He has been married to Breanna Lind Hawes for over 14 years. Their love story started when, at age nineteen, Jordan bumped into Breanna at a Seahawks playoff game. He started chatting with her and was so engrossed that he missed the entire first quarter. Honestly, I have gone through something similar myself at a school cricket match as well. I barely watched any of the match.
Breanna eventually turned him down and actually tried to fix him up with one of her friends. But he kept at it, and finally, she accepted. After five years of courting, they wed on the 10th of September, 2011. Their wedding made headlines because Jordan’s dad, Howard Schultz, gifted them a lavish condo located in Greenwich Village in New York.
Wren was born three years later, and two years after that, they had their son, Hayes. Most of the time, the kids are kept away from the cameras, as the family prefers privacy. But this much is known: Hayes is turning heads in hockey. He has already played in four tournaments, reached the finals in all four, and has won one. He was a runner-up at the Lobsterfest event. I play a bit of hockey at school, and let me tell you, making it to the finals even once is a tough task. So to see a kid doing this at such an early age is kind of inspiring.
Hayes is known for fast skating and slick footwork on the ice. He plays solid defense for his age. His family boasts about him, and it’s quite touching to see parents support their child like that.
Breanna has her own professional commitments, being into animal welfare and environmental causes. She has also been a co-founder of the Well Beings Charity. Despite this, she finds time to balance home life along with Jordan and their children. It feels authentic because many families are trying to strike this balance.
For the record, Jordan went to Seattle University and Occidental College before getting into sports media. His father, Howard Schultz, owned the Seattle SuperSonics from 2001 until 2006.
