LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues – PC Game Review and Guide
LEGO Indiana Jones 2 brings back the famous treasure-hunting hero in brick form, this time covering all four Indiana Jones movies. The game mixes new levels from the original trilogy with scenes from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, making it feel like a complete collection. On top of that, you can create your own custom levels and play them with friends.
When I first played the original LEGO Indiana Jones years ago, I spent hours with my younger brother figuring out puzzles and laughing at the silly moments. This sequel feels like the same kind of fun, but with a lot more to explore and more ways to play.
Game Features and Gameplay
The two player co-op mode is one of the best things here. Your friend can join or leave whenever they want because of the split screen option. You don’t have to stop your game or start over, which makes it easy to just pick up and play.
Custom level building is another highlight. It reminds me of when I used to sit on the floor with a box of LEGO bricks and make my own adventures. The in-game tools let you create anything from simple puzzle rooms to full maps, which makes replaying the game more exciting.
The maps and worlds are larger compared to the first game, with more vehicles to drive around and more areas to explore. Each character has special abilities, so swapping between them actually matters during gameplay.
Combat is fun because it’s not just about hitting with the same weapon every time. You can throw bottles, use chairs, swing swords, or shoot from a distance. This variety makes each fight a little different.
Collecting artifacts lets you unlock over 60 playable characters, including both heroes and villains. There’s Marion Ravenwood, Mutt Williams, Short Round, Rene Belloq, Willie Scott, Marcus Brody, Dr. Henry Jones Sr., and Irina Spalko. Each one feels unique, and some are just fun to play as, even if you don’t need them for missions.
The story covers the events from the movies but with updated controls and better mechanics than the first game. The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull levels blend in naturally with the rest, so it doesn’t feel like two separate games.
