That, I thought, was just a rumor until more details came up about the police involvement, which certainly elevated the entire matter.
Only hours after leaving his head coach job, he was furtively arrested. The university said his offenses were inappropriate relations with a staff member. According to social media reports, the said employee is Paige Shiver and has the title of executive assistant. All these allegations, though, are up in the air because the police have not released the particulars to fuel the rumor mill.

What I understood from the reading was that at the university, people had been hearing about the extramarital affair well enough to call it an open secret. Michigan officials said they began the investigation after receiving an anonymous tip. Initially, they couldn’t find anything, but within a day or two, they found more evidence. That is when they immediately sacked him.
