Mortal Sin is a first-person action RPG in which fighting is visceral and every move counts. The game is all about close-quarter fighting, at which you flay, block, and kick to survive. All in all, I played it for a few hours, and one of the most prominent aspects that stood out was how heavy each hit felt. When you hit, it is not just a swing; it feels like hitting something. Enemies will punish you quickly for any sense of slowing down or hesitating. You basically don’t give them a chance to breathe; you keep moving and attacking.

It makes every run feel truly unique-the levels are procedurally generated, quests are random, and they just make so many different arrangements of rooms that it never feels boring. I tried playing two different classes, and it does become quite addictive due to the diversity. You could pick from fighters like the Berserker, who smashes with huge swords, or even a Pirate with guns. Every single class feels new and changes the way you play.

One thing that caught my eye immediately was the art. Mortal Sin has a very unique comic book-inspired look, which very much sets it apart. There’s also an option for changing visual modes and color palettes. I personally liked switching to a darker color tone during play because it added a creepy element to the atmosphere. The game allows you to adjust it according to your vibe, which I thought was pretty cool.

When I installed Mortal Sin, I never pictured it doing such an extensive job on me. Battles are tough but fair, and run after run feels like starting a fresh challenge. I constantly changed that around to see how the game world would look in different tones because I loved the visual style so much.
