When I first got to play No I’m Not a Human, I would say something strange set in. The situation is unlike most games, with individual fighting in open arenas. It is all calm and still somewhat threatening here. The game starts in a world that is nearly destroyed. Streets are burned, the air feels weighty, and punishment is felt while even peering outside. At one time, I thought peace would be acquired with the night; however, the night was even worse-all the Visitors started coming.
Your Doorway to Strangers
A knock rings out. Someone’s on the doorstep, requesting shelter. They speak like us, they move like us, and they even behave normally. But the question remains: are they humans or Visitors? When I played, no one was to be trusted. Some visitors felt real, while others made me regret letting them in.
Choices Matter
The game never lets you hide forever. If you stay alone, sooner or later, the Visitors will be coming at you. There were decisions I found hard to take. I let some inside, listened to their stories, and then tried to work out who they really were. A few helped me survive, but a few ruined everything.
Living Is Hard
The Visitors will not let you go. They will strike first if you wait. So the game requires you to do all things before it is too late. I had to question, make some cold choices, and sometimes even fight before I was sure of a person. That sets it apart from the rest of the indie survival games.
