A North Carolina mother is now telling her story after claiming that a football coach and the Millers did not follow a court custody order, which allowed, according to her, for her son to run away.

Krista Lynn Cartwright claimed that she had given all the school and everyone concerned copies of the court papers. “They were so clear, yet it just seems like no one cared to abide by them.”

According to her, her son is now listed as a runaway while staying with some Miller family members. That, she says, is not supposed to happen as the custody order had very specific things that everyone was supposed to adhere to.

Krista said she constantly wondered if the Miller family was even aware of the old court orders that were set. Talking of things like drug testing for the kids’ fathers, and that her mother was the one who was supposed to supervise it.

She posted on social media that she is confused about how far this family has gone without checking.

From that point, the situation was getting worse through Christmas, she said. Krista said in a post that she was trying so hard to hold together her and her kids, but it just felt like everything was spinning out of control. And I really felt her pain reading her post because even in my own home, easy family matters during the holidays are a burden. So I can just imagine what she must be going through.

North Carolina Mother Says The Miller Family And A Coach Ignored Custody Rules And Let Her Son Run Away

Krista stated that before the Millers came into the picture, she had tried everything to intervene with no success. There is a feeling that she has just been watching everything fall apart and feeling helpless to do anything.

She said it is a sad time for her family and that she is worried about Brittany Miller’s influence. She believes Brittany has a personal stake in this whole thing, which just makes everything all the more complicated.

Throughout this stressful time, Krista still posted about the good times. With pictures, she described helping kids from Florida, saying those times give her strength because they remind her of the fact that she is still fighting for her kids.

Some comments came in from her friends on her posts, some telling her to keep close to her kids, while others offered prayers or short messages to lift her spirits. So, support seems to be all around her, though the burden remains heavy.

This entire case begs many questions about how the schools and people within the community of North Carolina stack up with the legal custody laws. If custody orders are not observed, children can find themselves in an unsafe situation.

Krista’s statements provide a reason why there was an ultimate need to observe precisely the court rules, even as they were written. Such disregard by adults has consequences that greatly affect children.

As it stands, perhaps legal assistance will have to step in, or authorities will take over to clear the scene, making sure the boy is safe. You may also be interested in: Child Runs Into Road While Chasing Baseball in Burleson and Driver Stops Just in Time as Community Talks About Street Safety
