Alright, so this chess surprise completely turns things around. Rather than pieces killing one another in a single blow, each unit has its own health bar. You have to whittle them down with attacks before they’re out for good. And you can heal your soldiers to keep them fighting longer, which is actually dope.

The standard suspects are present here—kings, bishops, rooks, the lot. They follow traditional chess pieces, but once in range, they auto-attack enemies on their own. There are new additions such as crossbows and warlocks shooting from a distance, and ferocious beasts such as wolves and bears tearing through with claws and teeth. It’s essentially chess meets RPG atmosphere.

You’ll pick up loot along the way—gold, potions, weapons, you know. Equip your pieces with higher level stuff to boost their damage and resilience. Each new level allows you to add one more chess piece to your team. Choosing units that work well together is important, allowing you to build smooth synergy and unleash ugly combos.

Here’s the catch—you’ve got to keep your squad kicking while slogging through dungeons. Patch them up with spells and potions, and steer clear of trouble. The game saves only after a level’s done, so if a piece bites it mid-run, they’re toast for good. And above all, guard your King—if he falls, it’s lights out. Total checkmate.
