Your death is inevitable, but your reputation as a legend is guaranteed. The constantly changing depths provide a daunting challenge for brave explorers but do be warned—only one life is provided to seal your reputation. Central to this endeavor is the ability to balance resolute defense with unremitting push forward as horde after horde of monsters attempt to evict you; their quantity is immense, and standing firm is prudent. However, tarry too long, and a dark figure might develop, waiting to take your victory!

This is a clever, fun little game. What you see is what you get. A combination of Gauntlet and BroTato in one. The upgrades are noteworthy, and by the end of a 10-floor odyssey, I go from amateur to champion. I didn’t care for the Rogue at first—my first four failures were unimpressive. Then I got something figured out, and I almost defeated it, presuming Floor 10 is the final installment. There is much still to unlock (about 12-15 more characters). It combines Gauntlet’s simple dodge-and-shoot gameplay with incrementing, enduring upgrades. Multiplayer is flawed: the door can only be unlocked by the first player. A split-screen mode would immensely enhance it from the shared-screen arrangement.
