You will play as Luna Youngman, a criminal analyst at the DA’s office. Using your home computer, you’ll hunt for the local bad guys with the help of an intense database full of reports about who may pose a threat. Everything from old police files to text messages to social media accounts to recent purchases and search histories is up for your inspection. With every detail potentially serving as a marker for being a threat or clearing someone.
The first time I got my hands on the A.D.O.S system of the game, it felt just the same as using a normal computer of a person at home, but every little detail about it made you feel like something was not exactly right. One of the tools you play with is referred to as RootKit, which allows you to hack virtual cell phones. A bar slides to guess the right code. It seems simple at first, but under pressure, it turns out to be pretty difficult timing.
On a day when things seem to go well in the life of an average Luna, the night transforms the whole scenario. You really don’t just stay up all night filing reports. There are people outside who kill, and every single decision you make will have repercussions. You have to keep an eye on your surroundings without compromising your workload. Personally, I found walking around her house in that game a tad tense, making sure all windows are locked and lights are turned on. Staying alert is key since otherwise, a lot can go wrong.
In the course of ten simulated nights, you will collect evidence, write your reports correctly, and attempt to stay alive. In the darkest moments, one realizes that keeping safe is about more than completing work; it requires protection from those seeking to enter. If you manage not to die and get your tasks done, you can then receive a wish of relief, imagining the sunny beaches and regular life that awaits on the other end.

As a mix of horror, strategy, and simulation, this one really had me excited about what I would be doing. I mean, actually, managing real criminal investigations while dodging tense, unpredictable nights.
