Sugardew Island is a deliberately uncomplicated cozy farm shop sim, crafted by an independent dev team. We created Sugardew Island so that you can unwind, destress, and indulge in your genre of choice. Care for your animals and farm, sell your goods to the lovely Forest Folk, enhance your farm, and complete little requests from the Harmony Tree to rejuvenate the small island. Drawing inspiration from the beloved Nintendo© DS Harvest Moon franchise, Sugardew Island is our love letter to the genre, offering around 15 hours of sweet gameplay. After a sudden storm and shipwreck, your journey begins as you wake on a deserted island. To progress, gain Harmony by bartering with the forest sprites, healing the island, and breaking through the thorns.

One special feature this game introduces, which is uncommon among others, is the Shop. You grow crops and sell them in your shop to nearby nature creatures for profit as well as for Harmony, which does tasks to restore the Harmony Tree. In comparison, the only other shop-based game I have played was Garden Paws, another sweet farming sim. The developers termed this title casual, and it accurately describes the peaceful, outdoor environment many yearn for. There’s no timing of days, you won’t collapse or lose money, your animals and crops do not fail if you skip feeding and watering, and upgrading is not a requirement.
