Look, this game’s the real deal. You’re basically running your own crew of four badass Vikings who are all about that raid life. Glory, gold, kicking ass – the whole package. Every time you play, you get a totally different ocean map with random islands to check out. Some days you’re fighting for your life, others you’re swimming in loot. No two games ever feel the same, which is pretty awesome when you’re three beers in and still gaming at 2am.

The fighting happens turn by turn, so you can’t just button-mash your way through. Gotta use your brain a bit. You pick from five different Viking types – got your basic Warrior dude who smashes things, Archers for picking off enemies from far away, Druids with their nature magic, Seers who can see the future (pretty handy), and Bards who… well, they sing and somehow that helps? Weird but it works.

Your ship’s basically your home base. Sail around, find places to raid, beat up some enemies, grab their stuff, then sell it for food and whatever else you need. Just don’t die – once a Viking’s dead, they’re DEAD dead. No respawns. Game gets real intense when your favorite character is hanging on by a thread.

How to Download This Bad Boy

1. Hit that Download button below. It’ll take you where you need to go.
2. Wait like 5 seconds (I know, torture), then smack that green “download now” button.
3. Let it download. Maybe grab a snack or something.
4. Right-click the .zip file when it’s done and extract it to “ViCrew: Whiskers of Winter” (you need 7-Zip for this, Google it if you don’t have it).
5. Open the folder and double-click the exe file. Boom, game time.
6. Run as admin if you’re smart. If you get those annoying dll errors, look for a folder called Redist or _Common Redist and install whatever’s in there.

Heads Up

Game works right out of the box, no installation needed. If something goes wrong, check out that Redist folder and install the DirectX stuff and whatever else is in there. There’s also a “HOW TO RUN GAME!!.txt” file that’ll help you out. Make sure you’re running as admin or your saves might disappear. Oh, and turn off your antivirus before you extract or it might delete some files it thinks are “suspicious” (they’re fine, just part of the crack).
